I’m currently reading the book: Chicken Soup for the Romantic soul. I really thank my stars that I took this book, because this was just the book I needed now. Off late the thought of me turning twenty, and thus leaving my teen hood behind, reminded me of the fact that there is just a 30% possibility that I would ever meet my prince charming and thus live happily ever after … ( I am an Indian – that ought to explain everything); the stories in this book stoked the flame of hope that was beginning to die out; to have hope and keep my fingers crossed over the 30% of my dream …
I happened to listen to the song through heaven’s eyes in Prince of Egypt and the following lyrics touched me a lot; another omen:
A single thread in a tapestry
though its color brightly shines
can never see its purpose
in the pattern of the grand design;
and the stone that sits up on the very top
of the mountain’s mighty face
does it think that it’s more important
than the stones that forms the base?
So how can you see what your life is worth
or where your value lies …
you can never see through the eyes of man
you must look at your life
look at your life through heaven’s eyes […]
Hmm … so I guess I’ll have to leave it to the old guy upstairs and hope for the best, ain’t I?
